Out of the mouth of babes

As Natey starts to get more and more talkative (he already says over 100 words at 19 months) he is saying things that just crack me up. A lot of his talking is in sentences and he will repeat, or try at least, every thing you say. Sometimes I have to laugh because the things he comes up with are so cute or sometimes just out of left field.

Heard over the baby monitor at 5am:

No...NO...NOOO....mines!

The kids doesn't even want to share when he is asleep! I hope this whole, everything is mines, thing is short lived! I'm wondering if he was dreaming of someone taking his bankalie (blanky) because I didn't hear another peep until 7!

On the way to daycare this morning:

Nathan: Mommy, look! Mommy, look! Big, big truck!

Me: Yup, that is a big truck, buddy.

Nathan: Awesome.

  2. I had to laugh out loud about the Truck comment and then AWESOME! Just satisfied that you agreed that it was a big truck. Too funny. Gotta love conversations when they are 2 & 3 you never know what you will get.

  3. My favorite is when they get so dramatic and have such inflection in their tone of voices....lie BIIIGGGG truck. And T always raises her voice an octive or two at the end of singing a song. It's such much fun to listen as they learn our language!

  5. I saw that you asked where to buy the sticks for the cake pops. I got them today at walmart next to the cake decorating stuff. It took me forever to find since they are not down the baking area. I absolutely love the name of your blog. Good book. My son is one and loves to tell me to "get it" or when I say his name "what". I never thought they talked so much so young.

  7. That's hilarious, I miss the "mine" stage much more than I miss the "poopy head" stage.
