Two souls, one heart...

We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love. ~Author Unknown
Last Sunday we went to the wedding of Aaron's youngest brother Danny and his long time partner in crime Jess. :o) These two are so meant for each other and it was an awesome wedding. It was at Fruitlands Museum in Harvard, MA. The site was so beautiful and had the most amazing views. It was a wonderfully simple wedding with only family and close friends.
Jessica looked so beautiful in her dress.

You may kiss the bride!
Their roommate and good friend made their wedding cake! Uh, did I mention that they are both chefs so they have the hook-up when it comes to great food!
The new family. Jess and her parents and Danny with his Mom, Paul and his Dad and Diane.

Me and Sarah before all of the champagne hit...

Danny and Jess after!

I have to say, as far as weddings go this one ranks right up there with mine on the fun-o-meter. I know I am biased, but we had such a great time at our wedding, it is hard to beat for me. It wasn't stuffy or overly organized and everyone had a genuinely awesome time.

New Hair!!!

Ok so I have been the girl that cried wolf for the last 6 months when it came to cutting my hair. I kept saying I was going to chop it off and then I would chicken out when I got in the chair. I wanted bangs but I didn't want the hassle of having to do them all the time. I finally got the guts to do it on Saturday, so here it is.....

A little bit on my favorite subject...

Nathan of course! Oh, how couldn't he be my favorite? He is smiley, crazy and oh so dang cute! I figured in the spirit of capturing all of the cuteness and getting caught up to the present time in this blog I would give a recap of the first year of Natey's life.

Here is me at 9 months pregnant. Aaron's dad took them in the park where we got married.

Here he is only 2 days old when we came home from the hospital. This was also the only 10 minutes he decided he wanted to spend in the bassinet.

2 months old and already my little cartoon. Read the shirt and "Don't talk Back!"

You know I couldn't resist putting the Punchkin in a pumpkin!!! (4 months old)

Christmas time and 6 months old. He was my Santa Baby!
No we weren't taking him on his first golfing trip...it was Easter(9 months), which in my family means getting ridiculously dressed up!
Happy 1st birthday buddy! I can't believe the time went by so fast!
Ok, so there it is. A whole year full of cuteness!

It was a dark and stormy night.....

Ok, so maybe it wasn't stormy, but it was night and by default...dark. It was the night I met my future husband. We met in Las Vegas, Nevada.... of all places. It's not exactly where you go to find the man or woman of your dreams, but we managed to find each other among the sea of weirdoes that call the desert their home! We met at a casino (I know not exactly romantic!). I saw him across the bar and I walked up to him and asked him why he wasn't smiling. He immediately gave me the biggest grin and we were inseparable from that moment on. A year and a half later we got engaged!

We decided to move all the way across the country to the tiny state of Rhode Island where Aaron grew up. We hopped into our rented Penske truck with all of our stuff and a furiously shedding kitty and set off on our journey. A year later we were married and 3 months after that we got a little surprise....I was pregnant. We found out on the day we were going to sign the papers for our first house. A move, a marriage, made a baby and made a huge purchase....all in a little over a year. Whew, I'm tired just thinking about it!

So there is the $0.50 tour of our past...now to revel in the present.
