Not just a pretty face

She's a fearless climber

Photobucket

and a mower of lawns,

Photobucket

a questioning toddler,

Photobucket

and an eater of all things that are not actually food.

Photobucket

She's got a penchant for accessories,

Photobucket

and a desire to play the day away.

She's a sweetie, loud and sassy, and she's mommy's little girl.

Be my Valentine!

I don't care how many times I have seen this on the Internet, I still love the idea of it! I took his picture, fancied it up in Photoshop and printed them at Walgreens. Easy and so cute. Of course, picture it with a lollipop in his hand. I tried to take a picture of it with the lollipop, but it blocked the words and, my procrastinating self waited until it got dark to try to get a pic of the completed card, so it looked like poo anyway. OK fine, it was bugging me not to put in the final...

Arielle is still going to a home daycare (For a couple more months...more on that later...sniff) so I attempted to make her caregiver a cute card. I was ill prepared since I got the idea to do more than just a Hallmark yesterday. I love the picture of Arielle though. She did that to herself because she wanted to be a princess. I think she looks every bit the part...long underwear jammies and all.

Arielle helped make the cards for the 3 kids she is with every day. She wanted to show me where each button and pom pom should go....except she kept trying to cover the holes I had punched for the lollipops. I think they turned out exactly how she wanted. ;)

Last but not least on this day filled with hearts, a little Valentine's Day breakfast...actually made on Sunday since I have zero desire to attempt this on a school day!

In a word...Awesome!

I met Lisa through blogging. Her friendship is one of the many things I cherish about this whole blogosphere thingy! I admired the gorgeous photos she took of her children and wished I could have my own...photos, not her children. Sadly, she lives in Canada. How was I ever going to make that happen? Well, thanks to the impulsive nature of my hubby we took an impromptu road trip to Montreal when I was pregnant with Arielle and had the most gorgeous photos taken of my family and the bump that was my baby girl.

I loved her and her photos so much that I wanted to share them with my friends and I arranged for her to come to RI last May for photo shoots and, since I can't get enough of her, she is coming back for more! We are planning stylized photo sessions for the week of July 3rd-9th in RI. If you live in New England and miss the chance to sign up for this, you will be kicking yourself, I promise. If you don't live in this area but have friends that do, send this info to them, or they will kick you! OK, there will be no actual kicking, but seriously she is way too awesome to miss!

Visit her photography blog for all of the info. There is a tab at the top of her blog for the RI sessions. It mentions a deadline of May 31st, but we have not met the minimum number yet so we are extending it for just a couple more weeks.

Here are only a few photos of the amazing sessions we did last year and a couple more from her portfolio.

Sneak-a-peek

I have not fallen off of the face of the earth, but I might as well have! As you know, an amazing, talented, all around wonderful person came to my tiny state to take some pictures. This was not just any trip, it was a don't blink, don't breathe, eat when you have time, juggle 2 small children, 8 photoshoots in 4 days we-are-now-bonded-for-life kind of trip. I will dedicate a whole post to the insanity that was Lisa's visit later, but for now, I will show you a snipit of what she captured!

Isn't she amazing? And these are just the tip of the iceburg....check it out.
