Not Me! Monday

Twas the Monday before Christmas and all through the house, not a soul was getting ready to leave this house....

That is only partly true. I'm up and, I guess, that counts as part of getting ready to go to work, right?? Anyway, it is Monday and time to tell you what I absolutely did not do last week! Check out MckMama's blog to play along.

**********************************************************

I did not say, "I have ears like a hawk....'s eyes" to my husband when I heard him talking about me to my MIL. I did not loose my leverage at that ridiculous statement since all he did was laugh at me.

After my slip of the tongue, I didn't proceed to google "hawk" and "ears" to see if, in fact, they do have good hearing, simply to vindicate myself. I didn't feel a bit better when I discovered that they can pinpoint the exact source of a sound...WITH THEIR HEARING!! My hubby was still unimpressed with my logic.

I was not irritated with the weather when, right after I bought my new car, it rained and then dumped a foot of snow on us. I don't care how pretty my car is, and if I did, I would not wish we had not turned our garage into a family room, just so I could park Huey in it!

I didn't write a sad post right before Christmas. This is a happy time and I don't spend my time wallowing in loss. I don't miss my mother terribly and secretly hope what I get for Christmas is a vivid dream of her like when I was pregnant.

I am not so thrilled that I only have 2 more days of work (including today) before I get 12 whole days in a row off! I didn't almost call out today because it was freezing outside and I wanted to spend the day in jammies with my boy. Nope, not me! I am dedicated to my work and would never think about doing that!!

What did you "not" do this week??

  3. I am always screwing up sayings like that... and rather than letting it slide and not making me feel stupid, Chad always has to point it out and correct me! Glad you almost vindicated yourself!!

Yeah, I'm pretty much done with this snow. But yay for 12 days off!! Woohoo!!! These are my last days off before returning to work. Yuck!

  4. Oh to have hearing like a **HAWK** and the eye sight of a Rhino. I mean, there is NO WAY that I would ever say something silly like that...although, mine usually has to do with math! Something like Jaxon I know you are 7 but what is a 20% tip on this bill? Mom is a loser! I also had a rather large chuckle that your new car got dumped on. Not fair, Huey needs to move to Florida =)
Can't wait for your days off so you can make my boys ADORABLE shirts!!! =)

  7. I just got caught up on weekend reading and remembered that we shared the same recent loss. My mom died on October 3, 2001.

I cannot get over it this time of year. I seem to get stuck in a rut of missing her painfully until after Valentines Day. Then I do ok until May. And then it starts all over again!

Natey is so pickin adorable - I love that toothy smile! :)

  8. I've been known to vindicate myself by performing an Internet search or two.

And hey, it's not like you say "snowing throwballs" or something, like I have NEVER EVER DONE in my life. Ever. : o ~

Jordy's new car :) does switch to manual controls once he is old enough. But I think that will be a really long time...

I would have called off from work! You are stronger than me!
