Not Me! Monday

MckMama may not participate today, which is pretty understandable since she just got home with her little miracle, Stellan. That won't stop me though! I have confessions to make and I bet you do too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did not go into work late on Monday just because it was my birthday and I didn’t feel like waking up to an alarm.

If I was late and security waved me to an alternate parking lot (that is like a mile from my building) because our parking structure was “full”, I would not have been defiant and drove all the way around the back side of the parking structure and found a spot right in front! Nope, not me, I always do what I’m told.

I didn't, for a night, pretend I was turning 21 instead of 30 and have 2 too many beers (don't freak I only had 4 in a 6 hour time frame) at the Coldplay concert. I did not feel like I had been hit by a Mac truck the whole next day and sit at my desk hoping no one asked me to do any real work. That would be irresponsible, and 30-year-olds are mature and rational.
I did not get undressed to take a shower and step in before I realized that I forgot to take my socks off. Who does that? Not me!

When Natey woke up at 6 am on Sunday I did not huff under my breath that it was way too early to get up with him and let him stay in his crib for 20 more minutes. When I fed him breakfast I didn't think I was loosing it when the clock in the kitchen said it was almost 9 am. I then didn't run into the living room and check the time on the cable box, have an "aha!" moment, and realize that it was daylight savings time! I didn't feel terrible for making him stay in his crib, since he had actually slept to his normal time of 7am.

What did you "not" do this week??

  3. heh heh - I have never done that to Tommy or Jack (tee hee...don't worry, Natey won't remember!!)

I have a new sewing machine too, but since I still can't lug it around to use it, it will sit in the back room until I can lift a little more.

Do you want me to make a background for you? I have been wanting to make them - I have made one for my friend Felicia that we will put up later this week, I will gladly do one for you (I have a link on my sidebar if you want to see what Felia's will look like)

I so far have avoided using any premade "papers" so it would truly be one of a kind. let me know - I will put in it whatever you want.

  4. Ewww, I can't believe you stepped in the shower with your socks on! I did that once and it was such a gross feeling. : ) And I love your defiance... parking spots, turning 30... you're such a rebel!

So I did make the rice cereal a lot thinner (followed the directions!), but my cleft buddies said it's better if it's thick. Either way, he wasn't having the spoon touch his lips, so I don't think it would've mattered how runny or thick it was.

Can't wait to see Natey's shirt. I'll probably wait to buy Aidan something the week before our pictures. My mom bought him that cute stripey fleece and it's too small to get over his head! I HAD to get a baby with Chad's giant dome, didn't I?!

  5. Let me know if you have a pattern/design in mind and what colors you would like (I am guessing that green might be a part of it)

I am getting better at it so I might be able to give you a couple of options. I am hoping to figure out how to do the widget title banners too.

  6. It would never occur to me to turn down the monitor to let my Monkey try to hang in there for 30 minutes!

  7. Great Not me post! I totally think everyone deserves their birthday off of work, or atleast be allowed to be tardy. Good for you! Way to go on the up close spot too!

  8. I have never gotten into the bath with socks on! How embarassing would that be?!? And since I've never done that, I don't feel the need to look to make sure my socks are actually off my feet everytime I take a shower. That's so silly!

  9. Great Not Mes and yeah, I do owe my husband for last week, but since he is going on a Men's retreat for three days this week, I do not feel so bad =)

  13. Ugghh, poor laptop that had water spilled on it last week has been giving me problems all day! Anyway, loved your list, and I definitely laughed out loud about the socks in the shower :) And don't feel to bad about the extra 20 minutes he had to stay in his crib - I think we've all been there, and it's better for their sakes if we give ourselves just a wee bit of extra time to feel ready to tackle the day!

  14. Kameron, thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment.. love the socks/shower thing.. thank God I'm not the only person so distracted that this is entirely possible!! The 30's are great girl, hang on, it's a wonderful time, you stop worrying so much about everyone else's take on you.. the 40's so far are the best - I really couldn't give a rip what anyone else thinks at this point and am comfortable, for the most part, with the woman I am... it just keeps getting better -- only thing, in the 40's, if I even considered drinking an "extra" beer, I would need to sleep on the toilet.. the whole bladder drop thing.. that's a pain!

  15. Thanks for stopping by my blog... I also did not huff when my son got up at 6:30am on Saturday and then tell him it was too early to get up since it was still dark out and make him go lay back down and look at books until it got light out because I was so not still tired and would never use an excuse like that to catch some more z's! And hey, Ayden did not fall back asleep and I most certainly did not get to sleep until 9am when in turn I didn't have to go and wake him up! Lol! Have a great week!

  16. Hopping into the shower with your socks on (hahahaha). I must admit that I have done that once or twice.

  17. Ha! Socks in the shower! That's awesome. Happy belated birthday!! :)

  18. Well, you HAVE to drink at a concert no matter your age. And if it was light beer than 4 isn't really that many. :)

And the socks in the shower...I haven't done that but I did wash my hair with body wash & put shampoo on my body sponge. Good 'ole sleep deprivation!

    Happy Belated Birthday!

  19. Stopped by your blog for the first time and had to comment on the birthday photo. Loved it! The big 3-0. Welcome to a new decade. I can say from experience that your 30's are pretty good. A time where you are hopefully more at ease with yourself and those around you.

I am also so intrigued by your 101 list. Amazing! Way to have not 1, but 101 goals. I can only aspire to your greatness. LOL!

PS: Goal #101 is definitely in progress. :)

  22. Hey! Thanks for leaving a comment! Your little boy is adorable!

Ohhhhh.... I am SO JEALOUS that you go to see Coldplay in concert! I love them!

I also really love your "My 101 in 1001" list. There are a lot of really cool things on there that I would have never thought to do.

Having a girl is so much fun. I have kept all of my little one's clothes hoping that would help sway God's decision to give me another girl the second time around (because if He knows that I saved all of these clothes for YEARS, He'll have mercy on me, and not make me buy all new clothes ~ right? at least the thought semi makes me happy!! :o) )

Thanks for visiting my blog! I'll come back to yours and leave more comments!! Have a great night!
